Since we just had a rant, I am gonna talk about some positive things in my life. :) Then maybe rant a little. :)
So, I just wanted to say that I am actually REALLY psyched for Christmas! I feel like this year has gone by really fast but it should be really fun! Christmas is a week away!! Yay!!!!!!
I am so excited!
I am also really thankful that my life is awesome! I have lots of great friends and great classes that are so much fun! I am a little behind in my Math class but otherwise, it is great!
Well, this is where my confusing and awkward writing draws to a close. :)
A blog by Ada, Alessia, Kensi, and Eryn all about the best and worst things in life. :)

Number 22 - a.k.a. The Rant
Hello all! Like Alessia in the previous post, I am so sad that we've not done anything on here. So I'm going to make up for it right now with a RANT.
I'm aware that I do this a lot. Oh well. This will be good and bad things.
Okay, so I am not so much a fan of school. This happens EVERY YEAR - a teacher loses assignments, costing me my grade. And people think I'm lying about it because it happens EVERY YEAR. I am not a liar. It happened. Multiple times. And it's hurting my grade. Which makes me a little upset, you know?
Also with school. Up until this year I did not realize how many idiots are in the world right now. I swear they spawn at Junior High schools. Mean, selfish, immature, bratty teenagers. It makes me embarrassed to be one because of these guys. Everything about them makes my skin crawl. Ugh.
Other than that, it's going well. I am in love with my Drama class. Musical theatre is very promising as well. I love English and I've decided to become a teacher in that subject. :)
The worst part of school is that I wish my old friends were there. I say it every day that I miss them all. They are the most beautiful people, the greatest people I have ever met and I love them all dearly. I hate that I have lost them because of where we live. I don't see them often enough and I am terrified that it is going to impact me negatively.
I've discovered a passion for literature and art now. I can draw and write all of my feelings and it makes me happier. Hopefully it will get me somewhere good.
Anyway, that is all for this post. I will also post another one in a minute. Thanks for reading!

So. It kills me to see that the last post was done over a month ago.
Maybe life just got too busy. Maybe we got bored of this blog.
No. I didn't get bored of it.
Here I am now! School is good, and so is life. I have enjoyed seeing my old friends now and again. I still miss them, but I'm sure you know how it is. Anyway, all I really wanted to do is check on the blogging world and see how it's doing. Hope to see more posts on this blog in the near future!
I love Les Miserables and can't wait for the movie. Just saying...

20! Now let's talk about my nerdiness...
Okay, so I just have to express my love for a few things. My obsession would be a better word for it.
Anyway,
I love
1. Psych
2. Harry Potter
3. Cupcakes
4. Ukuleles
5. Being a pro drummer
-and-
last but not least.....
6. PANDAS!!!
So, let me explain my obsession of Psych-
I love Psych so much! It reminds me of the relationship between me and one of my best friends, Emmria. I love Emmria a lot and I am so happy that we are good friends. Psych is funny and I love Shawn's nicknames for Gus. :) I love Juliet's and Shawn's relationship, because it is so funny! Lassie is probably my favorite character, though!
So, I must leave you and I will tell you about my other obsessions at a later date. BUT! I will leave you with this quote from Lassie...
"I would rather shower with a bear."
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! GOOD NIGHT EVERYBODY!!!!!!!!!!!

Number Nineteen
I love dances! Stake dances, school dances, they are amazing! I just had a Stake dance on last Saturday, and this past Friday was my school's dance. It was so fun!
But it's horrible without you guys. I mean, I'm completely serious when I say I love them and they're fun... but it's scary having to face these challenges without my friends by my side. Facing things alone, without the people closest to my heart... it's terrifying.
So there's something I love, and something I fear and hate. I miss you!

17... I guess.
Well, I guess it is my turn. :)

Anyway, I love you guys! Sorry that it is really short. :)

Post Number Sixteen!
We're almost at twenty, guys!
I really, really, really love... Girls Camp! It's one of the best parts of summer. It's one of the most spiritual activity ever (even though you wouldn't think camping is spiritual haha). You can bond with the people in your ward, and just have a great time.
I'm sad because I only have 3 years left. I'm halfway done with my Girls Camp years! Come to think of it, I'm halfway done with Young Women. Uh-oh!!!
Anyway...I'm leaving tomorrow for camp, guys. Will you miss me? :)

15th Post?...yes...15th Post
Sometimes a crumb falls
From the tables of joy,
Sometimes a bone
Is flung.
To some people
Love is given,
To others
Only heaven.
Thank you Langston Hughes. This is a lovely poem I found in a book that should have been picked up by me long ago. I was searching for a poetry book on our big old shelf...don't ask me why...and I came across this one:
I read and read and read. Each poem was like a motivator for me to keep reading. Truly, all of them were incredible. The words like honey in some, hard bricks that hurt in others. I ended up flipping to the middle like I always do in books. And I happened to read the last stanza of the one above, entitled "Luck."
Why did it make me cry?
Out of nowhere, I just started to cry. Tears were streaming down my face. I stil don't know how that happened.
But I do know this:
Those words just...were so beautiful to me at the time. And even now, I just can't get enough of them. So...perfect.
Poetry, I am now discovering, is like a window to new experiences in reading. Lately, the only titles I've dared to pick up are written specifically for young adults. But this is another...a different...work of art. Now I know why I wanted to find a poetry book. And I can't regret finding this one on the dusty shelf.
I love it.

14?
I absolute HATE it when people be annoying on purpose, just to make you steam...
Okay, hate is a strong word.
I EXTREMELY dislike when people are annoying on purpose.
Example:
I was sitting on the couch up at my cabin, reading Anne Frank's diary. I was having a grand old time reading and I was really into the book. I hear this quiet whisper,
"Ada.... Ada..."
I look up to see my little brother crouching behind the fireplace, whispering,
"Ada.... Ada..."
So I calmly went back to my book and ignored the whispers. Teo seemed to lose interest and went back to playing on Scratch.
After only about 5 minutes, I heard MORE noise coming from Mateo.
"Hey, Ada. Hey, hey, Ada. Hey, Ada. Hey, Ada. Look, Ada."
"WHAT?!" I finally looked up just to get him to stop.
"Nothing." He looked back at the laptop screen.
"Gah!" I was extremely annoyed but went back to my book.
Another about 15 minutes later, my mom, Mateo and sat on the floor, playing Bohnanza. (A German bean planting card game.) It was my turn, so I took it, and I presented a bean that Mateo was planting, so obviously he had to go off the handle.
"OH MY GOSH!!!! Oh, oh! I WANT IT!!!! PLEASE!?!?!?!" He writhed on the floor and continued begging.
"Fine! Just.. Shut up!" I gave him the card and he was quiet.
For 20 seconds. By my mom's turn, he was freaking out.
This post isn't necessarily about people being annoying on PURPOSE, I just needed to vent my feelings.
Thank you for bearing with me. :D
OH! BTW-- I am turning 14 in 2 months! :D :) =) =D

Unlucky Number 13
Well, it's interesting how fate works. I got the post number 13, which happens to be a number that everybody finds unlucky. And how unlucky I have been lately! These past few weeks have been nothing but trouble for me...
I have attempted to get together with people, to actually DO something this summer. I haven't seen any of my friends since June 7 at the Lehi Legacy Center. So it's been quite a few weeks. I've tried, but everybody is so busy! Why am I the only one not busy???
But the very worst thing of all is something that happened 2 days ago. I had to clean up my room a bit, and my sister wanted to come 'hang out', which means be in my room and look through my stuff while I clean. But I wanted to be kind, so I said she could 'hang out' with me. I actually was kind of starting to have fun with her, we were talking and laughing and looking through stuff. She looked at my stuff on my dresser, which is where I keep my Arabic stuff (the perfumes, the bookmark, the sand bottle, etc.)
I was putting a pair of shoes away when I heard a deafening shatter! I turned around and her eyes were huge and looking at my dresser. I looked down and my nicest hand-blown Egyptian perfume bottle was laying in what seemed to be a thousand pieces all over. I screamed.
What would you have done??? I told her (as calmly as I could) to leave my room. I started crying and picking up the shards. And my room started to reek of the strong perfume that Ustaz makes. It was a disaster. It still stinks to high heaven today, and I don't think the smell will ever come out of the rag I used to soak up the precious perfume or the dresser. I am more angry with her than I have been with anybody in what seems to be years. She is - until further notice - permanently banned from my bedroom.
I am just hoping that another unlucky month like this never happens again!!!!!

!@th post (12th post)
When it's dark, you can't see. It overwhelms you, caves you in.
The power goes out at night, and nothing works. Not the stove, not the refrigerator, not the lights. You sit wishing you had a book to read, or paper to draw on, because that's all you can do. You have to scurry to find flashlights and candles, hoping you still have them up to their full battery power, or that you still have matches. All you can do is try to make it a fun, exciting experience in the pitch black. It's easy.
Well, easier then when the power goes out in the afternoon. When you are in the middle of cooking in the oven, it's a big, irksome blow when there is no power available for the oven to run. You can no longer cook. And it's worse when it's Father's day and you are cooking a special meal for your father. You hope that the power comes back soon because it feels as though you cannot function without electricity.
In our day and age, in our community, it's hard for most of us to go without power. Why is that? It's because we are so used to it. We take it for granted. We don't realize that we have it until it's gone.
So this post is to say how grateful I am for all the power we have. It's a blessing, and I hope that we all can come to know not to waste it. We are lucky.
Though the dark can be a never-ending tunnel of black, it's always good to know that there will be light at the end.

Eleventh Post
Charter schools make the world a worse place.
Don't believe me? Here are my arguments:
All through elementary years and middle school years at the charter school, you make friends. Friends who live in different cities than you. The friendships grow, you learn to love each person who is in your grade, you know everyone in the tiny school. You become a family.
But.
There is a problem. After middle school is over, or after everyone in your grade decides they want to transfer schools, no one is left. And everyone goes to their public schools, or a new charter school. And every single one of your friends who lives in a different city is lost.
I can tell you this based on my personal experience. The last day of school is tomorrow. It's happening.
I love you all.

Tenth Post!
Yay, number ten.
Have you noticed I've done mostly negative posts? Well that's not good. Let's try the opposite today, shall we?
I love nature. I really do. I love being alone. Today I went somewhere with a person, somewhere hidden. It was a river and it was surrounded by many trees. It was dead silent, like the whole world was holding its breath. Picture it. Three or four trees leaned into the river as if they wanted to tell it a secret they held deep within themselves. At the base of the river was a big pile of sticks, like beavers had been there. It was completely silent. Then a gust of wind rattled the leaves, and a group of birds exploded out of the trees. All you could hear was the river. Rush, rush, rush. Hush, hush, hush.
That's what I love about it. You can paint a picture in your mind. I was there. It was so peaceful. Serene. Beautiful. It makes you think. I mean, really think those deep thoughts that cower in the back of your mind. Afraid to come to the front and show themselves.
That is all today. Thank you! :)

Numero 9....
Well, I just wanted to say something about Summer. This might make you want Summer more, but I promise you, that is not my intention.
Every year, during the school year, I am yearning for Summer most of the year. The days go so SLOWLY and Summer seems so far away. Then the last 2 weeks of school (RIGHT NOW! :) fly past! Right as soon as I reach Summer, I am so excited for the great stuff that I have planned., and I have a FANTASTIC time.
THEN, about one month after Summer has started, I want SCHOOL AGAIN!!!! Crazy, I know. Oh well, that is just me.

Eighth Post? I think?
Yes, here it is. Eighth post.
And it's a crazy one. If you go to my blog: http://allabouteryn.blogspot.com You'll get more information about what is bugging me.
May. The month. I hate it with a burning, fiery passion that engulfs my soul and chokes my mind.
Intense.
Anyway, I just hate how all the teachers, like, secretly plot to pile EVERYTHING THEY POSSIBLY CAN onto us and then we're stressed and we die a little inside.
But I shall find a bright side to this. Give me a minute.
...
Aha. I have come up with a somewhat logical bright side. :)
After all that slavery...I mean school work... we have something to look forward to. Something that makes it all worth it. Something called
SUMMER BREAK.
I am excited. I have literally never been more excited for it ever ever before. I think it's because I'm starting a new adventure next school year.
But to all you teachers out there: cut us some slack. Lay off the paperwork, guys, come on!

Books
Do you know what I hate? When books just end with a cliffhanger.
But you know what I love? When books just end with a cliffhanger.
It frustrates me out of my mind at first, but then, as I sit and think, I am grateful for the book. It sometimes makes it better, and more interesting. Of course, I'm still easing out of the shocked zone of the book I just finished. I have to relax and move on. But I can't. It ended with a cliffhanger.

Sixth Post
Music is everything to me. What would I do without it?
The other thing I love is literature. Poems, stories, lyrics. Reading and evaluating what the words mean is something I like to do in my spare time. Also writing. But you know what actually helps me write? Listening to music. The two really work together...both are art.
It has to be the right kind of music. Instrumental music fills my soul with sounds that don't even have to do with words, and I like that. Because then I'm not thinking about the words that the songs say, but rather the thoughts that pop into my head because of what the music makes me feel. Sometimes I don't even think. I just get overwhelmed--like I'm in a trance. And that's what helps me focus. Sounds like an oxymoron, I know.

Fifth Post
I love music that makes people want to sing along. I love singing along to my favorite songs. When you express your feelings in song, it brings your true feelings to the surface and it is amazing. In song, the world seems to disappear and make everything seem less important. Here are some links to my favorite songs to sing along with:
(Some are sad and some are happy)

4th Post
I'm so sorry to post so much, but there's a lot I have to get off my chest!
So just a few minutes ago, I was watching segments from my favorite Disney movies... (I'll put the links on so that you can see what kind of stuff I like...if you want to. If not, this is for my benefit haha).
HELLFIRE:
IF I NEVER KNEW YOU:
SIMBA AND SCAR:
Anyway, sorry got off subject there. My point is... all of these movies were made BEFORE the year 2000. That struck me as interesting. And also: all of these movies have sort of dark parts that have conflicts. Disney hasn't DARED to do that lately.
Why is that?!
Also... have you noticed how these older movies NEVER get old? And lately Disney movies have begun to annoy me. This makes me sad. I mean, Disney is sooo good, what an amazing legacy, right? But they're losing the touch because they only put happiness there. What happened to fear? Despair? All the negative emotions besides sadness...?
The villains I love to hate?!
That is all. Please comment. ;)

3rd Post :)
In reply to the second post posted by my fellow bloggers, I did not actually know about blogger's new system until I wrote this post. It is really weird and I can't seem to get used to it. ANYWAY, I am going to the temple on Saturday! Super excited! :)

Second Post
SO, I just feel like I want to complain about the new Blogger website. It may seem more user-friendly to some people, but I'm not used to it and it's hard to adjust. Hopefully I can get used to it. I think my fellow bloggers may understand me. If you are one of them, comment and tell me what you think about it...
But, on a happier note, the temple is a wonderful place to go. Doing the Lord's work is amazing. Just so you know.

First Post
I decided I'm going to do the first post...
I don't know if I love this, or if I hate it. I guess it's a mix of both.
Listening to sad music when you're sad...
I don't know why we do it. But I have a theory. Because when you're sad, you need something to build you back up. Like when some people feel bad about themselves, they make fun of some people. So when some people are sad, they listen to sad songs, because the people in the songs are worse off than them.
I don't know. What do you think? In the meantime, here:
